Friday September 1, 2023 Dove Season Opening Day

One of our favorite days of the year! Opening Day is an annual tradition. Join us for a day of camaraderie, wild birds and great food. Cap it all off with some great live music. Hunt, food, music and activities are all included for our overnight guests. Day passes available for $150/person. UPDATE: Tickets for the hunt are sold out. Friday September 1, 2023 Special Friday Show on the Wilder Patio - Blake Christiana and Tommy Maher

Join us for a rare duo performance by Blake Christiana lead singer and guitarist of the four-time Grammy-balloted band Yarn and Tommy Maher guitarist from Fireside Collective, the band nominated by the International Bluegrass Association as Momentum Band of the Year. As a solo act, Blake tells stories or yarns based on the trials and tribulations of life in America in a very raw, stripped-down format. Just his voice and an acoustic guitar playing heartfelt songs inspired by life. The duo will perform on the Wilder patio and will cap off our annual Opening Day celebration. Knoxville native Trisha Gene Brady’s seven-year run as vocalist and instrumentalist for The Black Lillies has seen her take the stage of the Grand Old Opry more than 30 times and perform for crowds at Bonnaroo, SXSW, & Pickathon. With vocals as sweet as southern ice tea, and impressive chops as a multi instrumentalist, Brady is embarking on new adventures as one sweetheart of a solo act.

WestWend is an Americana/country duo comprised of Jonathan Maness (guitar, vocals) and Wendy Maness (vocals). Established in 2011 in Knoxville, Tennessee, they perform and record new traditional country music. With Jonathan’s roots in bluegrass and Wendy’s roots stemming from the Delta blues, classic country, and Motown, they have come together to create a sound all their own. Popular on both sides of the Atlantic, they performed a 14-day tour in 5 European countries, including the Spring Bluegrass Festival in Switzerland. They have also opened for Rhonda Vincent, Guy Clark, and Tyler Hilton.

Count This Penny is a singer-songwriter duo born in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. They’ve appeared on A Prairie Home Companion and shared the stage with the likes of Melissa Etheridge, Kacey Musgraves and The Head & the Heart, NPR Music called them “Graceful country-pop with gorgeous vocals and Appalachian roots.”

Friday October 6, 2023 Friday on the Wilder Patio - Amanda Fields and Megan Mccormick
Amanda Fields and Megan McCormick have both been mainstays in the East Nashville music scene for years. McCormick is best known for her inventive guitar work and playing with people like Jenny Lewis, Connor Oberst, and Michelle Branch; Fields for her sweet singing and Appalachian-tinged songwriting.
The two met at local record store, Grimey’s New & Preloved Music, in 2019 and have written, recorded and performed together since. Fields’ debut full-length album, What, When and Without, produced by McCormick, was released in February 2023 to critical acclaim. McCormick has released a string of singles over the past few years, including a collaboration with Jenny Lewis, “Rake Me Over the Coals”. McCormick’s latest album, Are and Be, just released August 11, 2023.

Angela Autumn is an indie and bluegrass singer-songwriter from Zelienople, Pennsylvania. She has written and recorded out of Nashville, TN since 2019. Accompanied by her distinctly droning open-tuned guitar, Angela harkens to the sounds of artists like Joni Mitchell. A homespun sensibility is the center of her lyrical craft. She’s also an avid hiker, poet and herbalist.

Bill and the Belles is a Johnson City, TN-based band known for combining a stringband format with their signature harmonies, candid songwriting, and pop sensibilities. Their delightfully deadpan new album, Happy Again, is full of life, humor, and tongue-in-cheek explorations of love and loss. The group has a knack for saying sad things with a bit of a smirk, and anyone who’s been to one of their shows can attest that you leave feeling lighter and refreshed.

With Ben hailing from Arkansas and Emily originally from South Dakota, the two musicians first crossed paths at college in Memphis and formed the band early on in their courtship. Over the next decade, Carolina Story built a passionate grassroots following by touring all over the country and performing stripped-down live sets that included using a hardshell suitcase as a kick drum, eventually making their Grand Ole Opry debut in 2014.
