Nestled along the banks of the Tennessee River, Windy Hill Farm & Preserve is a 650-acre working cattle farm featuring fields, old-growth forest, ponds, gardens and more. Our team works to restore and preserve the indigenous plant and animal species of the area, which include birds, fish, reptiles, deer and small mammals such as rabbits, raccoons and more. Windy Hill Farm attracts birdwatchers, nature enthusiasts and others from throughout the region and beyond.
Currently, two trails provide the most intimate retreat with the natural beauty of the property. The River Bluff Trail winds from the The Farmhouse through the woods and along the rocky, picturesque riverbank, while the Eagle’s Nest Trail cuts through the forest to reveal a large bald eagle’s nest in the tree branches above.
