June 26–29, 2025
When Kristin and Griffin dreamed of their wedding, they imagined more than a single day—they wanted to bring their favorite people together for a celebration that felt both meaningful and unforgettable. Windy Hill became that place—a beautiful getaway where rolling hills meet the Tennessee River, and every detail was cared for so they could simply enjoy it all.
A Thoughtful Beginning
From the very start, Kristin and Griffin worked side by side with our planners, designers, and executive chef to bring their vision to life. Together, we built an experience that reflected their personalities, their love of great food, and their desire to create lasting memories with their guests.
Before anyone even arrived, our team sent personalized welcome letters with custom itineraries, noting everything from dietary needs to small personal preferences. It was our way of making sure every guest felt cared for before they even set foot on the property.

Thursday: A Warm Welcome
On Thursday, guests checked into their cabins, Lodge rooms, and the Farmhouse, each greeted by our guest services team and settled in with ease. That evening, the celebration began at the Granary with a smokehouse dinner, cocktails, and live music from local American artists. Under string lights and summer skies, friends and family gathered around tables, shared stories, and danced late into the night.

Friday: The Ceremony
Kristin and Griffin’s mornings always start with coffee, so we created an elevated coffee station that became a favorite stop for guests throughout the weekend. After breakfast at Wilder, the day was filled with group activities—hiking, axe throwing, and plenty of laughter.
By late afternoon, it was time for the ceremony. Along the Farmhouse road, the trees framed a natural aisle, with the Tennessee River peeking through in the distance. Florals lined the space where Kristin and Griffin exchanged vows, surrounded by family, friends, and the soft beauty of East Tennessee.

Cocktail hour followed at the Watchhouse, leading into an unforgettable reception on Wilder’s patio. A three-course meal, live music, heartfelt speeches, and a dance floor that stayed full until the very end made the night truly magical.

Saturday: Time on the Water
The next morning, guests once again found coffee ready and waiting before heading down to the waterfront. Kayaks, paddleboards, and swimming filled the day, with picnic-style lunches and drinks brought to the shore so no one had to leave the moment.

That evening, the group gathered again for a long-table dinner along the road to the Farmhouse—trees overhead, candles glowing, and the kind of atmosphere where conversations flow easily and time seems to slow down.
Sunday: A Fond Farewell
The weekend wrapped up with a final brunch. Guests hugged, shared last laughs, and departed with memories that felt bigger than any single moment—the kind of weekend no one wanted to end.

A Personalized Celebration
At Windy Hill, no two weddings are ever alike. Kristin and Griffin’s celebration was a reflection of who they are, brought to life through personal touches, intentional design, and the dedication of a team that believes in going the extra mile. From the menus to the music to the way every guest was welcomed, it was a wedding weekend filled with joy, care, and beauty.
